ABOUT ME

My interest in counselling began, with a need to understand myself and my own needs. Counselling offered an exploration, leading to new awareness.  I studied and worked in a range of fields before retraining and starting my life as a therapist. I believe connection is a core human need and I value working with people from all walks of life.

I have experience working in public, private and charitable sectors and certified to work with children and young people.

I trained at The University of Edinburgh in both person-centred and psychodynamic approaches and I draw on both to inform my practice, working creatively in the space. I am a sensitive and compassionate person and offer a non-judgemental and empathic space to explore difficult issues.  Both approaches value the therapeutic relationship as a space which facilitates growth and new insight.
